Rivers Locking Systems has recently being chosen to upgrade the door security at the Melbourne Remand Centre.

The 420 Series four point lock was chosen as a part of this overhaul, but was required to be modified to allow the  existing mortice locks to be useable for daytime operations.

As Rivers locks are made to order locally in Australia, our design engineers were able to quickly adapt the standard 420 set up to suit the customers specified requirements.  This included adjusting the width of the lock, having the central cross bar lowered and vertical strut moved across.
