Break and enter stopped by Rivers Lock!

A recent break and enter attempt at one of our customer’s warehouses was stopped in its tracks by the tried and tested Rivers Model ‘D’ two point lock. The thief appears to have tried to attack the lock cylinder and jimmy open the door with tremendous force. Whilst some damage was done to the door hardware, the forced entry ultimately failed and no stock was lost.

Had this door and frame been a Rivers Heavy Duty Security Door, the damage would have been even less. Rivers door leafs are cladded with 1.6mm zinc anneal sheet which is folded around the front of the door. This makes it extremely difficult to compromise the door core and gain leverage with a jimmy bar as was done here.
